Edifice Wrecks
Maybe it was in fact, at some point, a magnificent structure. But in time, it’s become a lot harder to support the edifice of government in the style of their choice, because it is a rule of government that the less something is worth, the more it costs. Especially worthless is the machinery of government, which is a wonderful device that allows for a budget to pay ten people to do the work of one; and results don’t matter if you have filled out the proper forms. It’s a large-scale operation with too many small-scale minds. Be thankful we don’t get as much government as we pay for.
A broken-down house and we can’t afford the fixes.
